Happy New Year! Thought I would share some highlights from this year and update you all on where we are in our treatment. Here we go:
January/February
Henry got a big guy haircut! His curls started to straighten out and it was getting long, so this was his biggest haircut so far. I love his little expression here. 🥹 And in February, our neighborhood got a brand new playground! Seriously this was huge news, every family came out of the woodwork when this happened, and we now have Playground Friends.
March
Hen turned 3, we threw a Spidey-themed party for him at my parents’ house and he did NOT want his face painted. I also gave him a Pete the Cat doll I crocheted, it was my biggest/most advanced crochet project so far!
April
I went to San Diego for my sister’s Bachelorette weekend, and we had a beach trip with some friends and their kids in Emerald Isle, NC!
May
Went to the Eras Tour in Philly Night 11 with my newly converted Swiftie friend (AKA a Swiftocrat) Becca and it was amazing and incredible and I cried.
June
My little butterbean of a nephew Calvin was born! Look at him!!! I crocheted him this Grogu hat!
July
Went to the Eras Tour again (💸), this time with my sisters and some friends in Santa Clara Night 22! I also got to meet and snuggle with baby Cal, best thing ever.
August
Big month for fertility stuff! I got my big box of stims meds (with a million needles inside) earlier that month and had my egg retrieval on August 28.
September
Hosted our sister’s bridal shower, and Cal got so big!! Most upsettingly, Grant got to see Derek Jeter at a Capital One event and I did not. 😐 His feedback? “First of all, he’s ridiculously charismatic.”
October
I turned 33 34, and Hen got a really cool, awesome, sweet, totally rad new bed that he doesn’t sleep in.3 For Halloween, he was Spider-Man for the second year in a row, this time with MORE MUSCLES.
November
My sister got married!! Shout out to
who scouted out this awesome jumpsuit for me to wear! We had our embryo transfer in mid-November, and the day after Thanksgiving, we got some good news.December
I graduated from Shady Grove Fertility, and I am almost 10 weeks pregnant. I will write more about how I’m feeling (terrified) and what this means for Good Egg (interviews with other IVF couples and parents, pregnancy updates in a separate email list you will be able to unsubscribe from if that’s triggering for you right now) but thank you so much for subscribing, reading, commenting and supporting me through all of this.
Surprise songs: “gold rush” and “Come Back… Be Here”
Surprise songs: “Stay, Stay, Stay” and “All Of The Girls You Loved Before”
I would appreciate any tips on how to get a three-year-old to sleep in their own bed!
My heart is SO happy for you & your precious family 💛💛💛💛💛
TEN WEEKS!!!!!!! HALLELUJAH!!!!!!
