Hi! This week is a short one, because my little sister is getting married in Florida on Saturday 🥰 I’m excited to see family we haven’t seen since before the pandemic, and to be somewhere warmer right now. We’re doing a Frozen Embryo Transfer cycle later this year but had to put it off because of lots of weddings and travel! I also started my fourth semester of grad school, I’m taking a course called Audiobook & Podcast Publishing. What DON’T I do?!1
If you live in Virginia, please vote on Tuesday. One of my favorite newsletters,
is running a fundraiser called The States Project which you can check out here! And now…I thought I’d pull a fun fact about Love Birds this week in honor of Sarah and Walker. Some of these aren’t that fun: “Some lovebirds might become endangered in the next decade”…?! 🥺 But this one was legitimately interesting and new to me:
Scholars typically cite a poem by Geoffrey Chaucer as the first evidence of the connection between the religious celebration of Saint Valentine's day and romantic love. The poem, “Parliament of Foules,” happens to feature two birds which exhibit all the markings of human love.2
Well, la-de-da! Next issue will have actual fertility content, and will link to my new affiliate Bookshop site where I’ll share all my favorite infertility, pregnancy loss, pregnancy, and parenting books. Have a wonderful rest of your week!
